It is ten years since the events of Chaos Rising and Sub-Sector Aurelia has been in a constant state of warfare with the Imperium struggling to retain control. The apparent betrayal of the chapter by Gabriel Angelos and his Space Marines has shaken the Blood Ravens and now the Imperial forces are beset on all sides by hostile aliens. The pirate Freebooter Orks have arrived to loot the sector, the vile forces of Chaos continue to spread their blasphemy, the Eldar of Craftworld Alaitoc work to recover key artifacts from their past, and the feral Tyranids have re-established contact with the Hive mind. Retribution allows you to select the race of your choosing in a battle to determine the very survival or destruction of the entire sector.

Choose to build a massive army or lead your small squad of elite heroes into battle and experience a single player campaign customized to your faction. Go online and face off against your enemies and experience the fast brutal combat of the 41st millennium.
- Multi-Race Campaign – For the first time in the Dawn of War II series, players will be able to experience a single-player campaign customized for their chosen race.
- Develop Your Army – Upgrade your heroes and unlock new buildable units as you progress through the single-player campaign.
- Six Playable Races – Choose from six multi-player races, each with their own unique super-heavy units.
